AboutResilience Medical Supplies, LLC, formerly called Chronically Fit, is a medical supply company formed by Debra Donnarumma, after her daughter Diana Donnarumma, suffered intestinal failure and autonomic dysfunction. While Diana was fighting for her life, she was required to use lifesaving and medically necessary equipment for basic survival. She was unable to eat, drink or take any medication by mouth and used intravenous nutrition to receive the essential proteins, fat, and vitamins needed for survival. In order to use these products, the infusion pharmacy provided Diana medical backpack and supplies that made Diana feel worse about her illness and body image. Diana realized the impact of medical products has on someone’s mentality, especially her own. Diana refused to use medical products that scream, “I'm sick! Look at me.” At the time, when she felt she had no control over her life, fashion and her passion to help others kept her going. All she wanted was some normality and not to feel like a walking hospital sign. She wanted others to know that, there is no mold of a sick person and that “sick doesn’t mean unfashionable." Having access to medical products that are high quality, allows patients to express their style and personality will have an overall huge positive impact on their quality of life.
Chronically Fit strive to provide customers with medical products such as infusion backpacks, medical masks, seat covers, organizational supply bags to chronic illness warriors so they can feel normalcy and confidence during chaos of a medical illness just like Diana. At the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020, Chronically Fit grew exponentially and expanded their reach. The company rebranded themselves because the original name no longer fit the company vision. Resilience Medical Supplies, began providing products and personal protective equipment to medical supply stores, doctors offices and the community. |
